IT Support Services

Every day millions of Americans are impacted by government agencies and their programs. The IT infrastructure needed to support these programs and deliver improved services is becoming more necessary – yet must be acquired, implemented, and maintained at far less cost with far more efficiency.

CSG provides all management, supervision, labor, tools, materials, and other items and services necessary to perform IT support services for local, state, and federal organizations, including:

  • Serves as first point-of-contact for end-users who require IT support
  • Provides technical support and upgrades for hardware & software installation, troubleshooting, and compatibility
  • Protects data through the use of data backup & redundancy techniques
  • Provides telecommunications support for issues related to LANs and WANs
  • Ensures the delivery of the most current security patches and virus protection
  • Maintains equipment & parts inventories
  • Provides tech support for maintenance of printers, plotters, scanners, etc.
  • Plans for office moves including: cabling, network & phones, computer reinstallations
  • Deploys upgrades to agency applications
  • Provides end-user support for all hardware platforms and operating systems

  • USDA Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Large Office Branch

    During 2007, CSG provided daily desktop support services to the OCIO Large Office Branch, including Tier 1, 2, and 3 help desk services for 2,500 users at USDA offices located in Washington, DC; Beltsville, MD; and Alexandria, VA. This included receiving and logging trouble reports, resolving issues over the phone, traveling to the user work site, providing solutions/patches, and referring systemic or highly complex issues to Tier 3 personnel; providing inventory support for performing warranty & in-house repairs, tracking equipment, & delivering & configuring system components; and providing proactive support for evaluation & planning on technology decisions, process design, and ITIL-related best practices.

  • US Dept of Energy (DOE) Western Area Power Administration (WAPA)

    Since 2006, CSG has provided IT Support Services to the DOE’s Western Area Power Administration Upper Great Plains Region through: computer systems support, contract management, systems analysis, database administration, programmers, systems administration, and desktop support for more than 100 users spread among 7 offices in South Dakota, Montana, and North Dakota.
